February Wrap-Up | 2019
I understand that we’ve passed the mid point of March already and I should have had this posted ages ago. I’m not really sorry because I was waiting to post this until after I’d already posted all of my reviews for February.
The time has finally come!
February was a strong reading month for me in terms of quantity. I read 12 books!

And the books I read are… *drumroll*

P.S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han
Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han
Circle of Shadows by Evelyn Skye
The Kissing Booth by Beth Reekles
The Rest of Us Just Live Here by Patrick Ness
Me Before You by Jojo Moyes
After Youby Jojo Moyes
Still Me by Jojo Moyes
Dumplin’by Julie Murphy
The Winter Sister by Megan Collins
All the Ugly and Wonderful Things by Bryn Greenwood
All of my reviews are linked above, if you want to know my thoughts on a specific book. Otherwise, here are some stats because statistics are fun!
Pages Read: 4,446
Average Rating: 3.7 stars
In my opinon, it was a great reading month for me driven forward by easy to read young adult novels. Reading this many books at the front of the year really helped me put a dent in my goal for the year too. I’m definitely going to be slowing down after March though. Stay tuned for my next post to find out why!
Did you read any really wonderful books in February? What were they? Leave me a comment so I can add your faves to my TBR. 🙂

I am in true honesty a super slow reader. I finally finished reading Swing Time by Zadie Smith last month, which I had started in July of last year. (Yeah, that’s how slow I am!) While I can read some books with a daily commitment, others I just cannot without putting them down more often than picking them up. I am currently (slow) reading a VERY different book from my usual reading genres. It’s called Sun, Moon, Earth: The History of Solar Eclipses, from Omens of Doom to Einstein and Exoplanets, written by Tyler Nordgren. I try to commit to reading by taking it whenever I’m commuting in the bus, taking it to work and university, but fail to do so. Currently drowned in assignments, so it is lying on my desk in the corner.
I have also set a realistic target to read 5 books this year. You must be laughing at me after reading this.

I’ve heard great things about Zadie Smith’s writing. I’d love to hear some of your thoughts on “Swing Time”.
I would never laugh! I attribute my quick reading to the fact that I read a lot of easy to read books. Honestly though, reading is reading no matter how fast or slow you do it! I love that you’ve set a realistic goal for yourself. I also understand the drowing in assignments aspect. You know I’ll be in that same boat soon!! Keep reading! 🙂

I am not great at giving book reviews, but in Swing Time, Smith caught my attention in a few parts where the others would just be a drag and it would take me days to finish the chapter. The story was good overall, but not something which I would read again. That’s my two cents on it!
Ah, you do a smart thing. But I am very picky with what I read (sometimes it has to do with the book cover – guilty!) and easy to read books might never make it to my reading list that way. Hehe.

I’m definitely guilty of choosing books for their covers too! I like reading difficult books sometimes, but I also get bored easily so I try to make sure I can finish a book every few days (up to a week) so I don’t lose interest! Thanks or sharing your thoughts on Smith’s work with me. 🙂
